Accountant Role Description Page:

Role:

The accountant will be responsible for supporting our clients in the areas of accounts receivables and accounts payables

Accounts Receivables: Customer invoicing, recording of deposits, and supporting customer collections

Accounts Payables: Timely and accurate processing of client Accounts Payable transactions and ensuring proper documentation and maintenance

Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivables:

      1. Processing of client invoices to customers
      2. Posting customer payments
      3. Downloading/ entry of revenues from 3rd party applications or banks
      4. Customer sales tax exemption certificate administration
      5. Preparation of sales tax reports

Accounts Payables:

      1. Processing of vendor bills received for payment
      2. Downloading and coding credit card transactions
      3. Review monthly A/P ledgers for missing routine bills
      4. vendor set-up
      5. W-9 administration
      6. Monthly 1099 vendor report

Key Performance Indicators:

      1.  Efficient entry of transactions with average or above-average data entry time realizations and rates of accuracy    
      2. Quality of work output (on-time and accurate)
      3. Integration into the team
      4. Client satisfaction
 

Qualifications:

      1. Associates degree in accounting. College interns in their junior or senior year with a major in accounting will be considered
      2. Prior bookkeeping experience required, specifically within a high volume environment
      3. Strong technology skills
      4. Experience working in a paperless environment strongly preferred
      5. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
      6. Team player with a positive “can-do” approach
      7. Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
